1. PURPOSE

This Shipping & Delivery Policy sets out the terms and conditions applicable to the processing, shipment, delivery, and receipt of products purchased from Braais & Bikinis.

By placing an order through our website, customers acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to this Shipping & Delivery Policy, together with our Terms and Conditions and any other applicable policies.


2. DELIVERY AREA

Braais & Bikinis currently delivers products within the Republic of South Africa.

We reserve the right to amend, restrict, expand, or discontinue delivery services to particular locations at any time without prior notice.

Certain remote, outlying, or high-risk locations may be subject to extended delivery timeframes, additional charges, or delivery restrictions.


3. ORDER PROCESSING

Orders are typically processed within one (1) to two (2) Business Days after payment has been successfully authorised and received.

Processing periods are estimates only and may vary depending on:

  • Product availability;

  • Supplier lead times;

  • Order volumes;

  • Promotional campaigns;

  • Public holidays;

  • Inventory verification procedures;

  • Operational requirements; and

  • Circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Orders are not ordinarily processed, packed, or dispatched on weekends or South African public holidays.

Submission of an order does not guarantee immediate dispatch.


4. DELIVERY TIMEFRAMES

Following dispatch, estimated delivery time is approximately eleven (11) to thirteen (13) Business Days.

Delivery estimates are provided for convenience only and do not constitute contractual guarantees.

Actual delivery times may be affected by:

  • Courier operational delays;

  • Adverse weather conditions;

  • Road closures or transport disruptions;

  • Public holidays;

  • Industrial action;

  • Civil unrest;

  • High-volume shipping periods;

  • Security incidents;

  • Remote or difficult-to-access delivery locations;

  • Incorrect customer information;

  • Supplier delays; and

  • Force majeure events.

Braais & Bikinis shall not be liable for delays arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control.


5. COURIER SERVICES

Braais & Bikinis uses third-party courier providers, including Aramex Store-to-Door services, to facilitate deliveries.

Once an order has been collected by the courier, delivery operations are performed by the courier provider.

Where available, tracking information will be provided to customers.

Delivery schedules, routing decisions, collection procedures, and delivery confirmations remain subject to the courier provider's operational policies and procedures.

Braais & Bikinis does not guarantee the performance of any third-party courier service.


6. SHIPPING FEES

Applicable shipping charges will be displayed during the checkout process before payment is completed.

Shipping fees may vary depending on factors including:

  • Delivery destination;

  • Order value;

  • Parcel dimensions;

  • Parcel weight;

  • Promotional offers; and

  • Courier pricing structures.

Braais & Bikinis reserves the right to amend shipping fees at any time prior to order confirmation.

Any applicable shipping charge displayed and accepted during checkout shall apply to that specific order.


7. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all information provided during checkout is complete, accurate, and current.

Customers must ensure that:

  • Delivery addresses are accurate;

  • Contact details are correct;

  • Delivery instructions are clear where necessary;

  • Someone is available to receive the parcel where required;

  • Tracking information is monitored where provided.

Braais & Bikinis shall not be responsible for losses, delays, failed deliveries, or additional costs resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by the customer.


8. FAILED DELIVERIES

Delivery attempts may fail where:

  • Incorrect address information has been provided;

  • The recipient cannot be contacted;

  • Access to the delivery location is restricted;

  • Delivery is refused;

  • The recipient is unavailable; or

  • Collection requirements are not met.

Where a delivery attempt is unsuccessful, the courier provider may attempt redelivery, arrange collection, or return the parcel to Braais & Bikinis.

Additional courier or handling fees arising from failed delivery attempts may be payable by the customer.


9. RISK AND OWNERSHIP

Ownership of goods shall pass to the customer only once full payment has been received and cleared by Braais & Bikinis.

Risk in the goods shall pass to the customer upon successful delivery at the delivery address provided by the customer.

Delivery shall be deemed completed when:

  • The parcel is signed for by the customer;

  • The parcel is accepted by another person at the nominated delivery address;

  • Delivery is electronically confirmed by the courier provider; or

  • Delivery is otherwise verified through courier delivery records.


10. DAMAGED, INCORRECT, OR INCOMPLETE ORDERS

Customers should inspect all deliveries as soon as reasonably possible after receipt.

Customers are requested to notify Braais & Bikinis within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery if:

  • A parcel arrives damaged;

  • Products are defective upon arrival;

  • Products are missing;

  • Incorrect products are supplied; or

  • The order appears incomplete.

Customers may be required to provide:

  • Photographs of the products;

  • Photographs of the packaging;

  • Proof of delivery documentation;

  • Order information; and

  • Any additional information reasonably required to investigate the matter.

Nothing in this clause limits any rights available to consumers under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.


11. LOST PARCELS

Where a parcel is believed to be lost in transit, Braais & Bikinis may initiate an investigation with the courier provider.

Customers agree to cooperate with any reasonable investigation process.

No replacement, refund, or other remedy will be provided until the relevant investigation has been completed, unless otherwise required by law.

Braais & Bikinis reserves the right to determine an appropriate remedy based on the outcome of the investigation and applicable legal obligations.


12. RETURNED PARCELS

Parcels returned to Braais & Bikinis due to:

  • Incorrect delivery information;

  • Failed delivery attempts;

  • Refusal of delivery;

  • Failure to collect; or

  • Customer unavailability,

may be subject to additional shipping, handling, or administrative charges before redelivery can be arranged.

Where a refund is requested, Braais & Bikinis may deduct reasonable courier and handling costs where permitted by applicable law.


13. FORCE MAJEURE

Braais & Bikinis shall not be liable for any delay, interruption, or failure to perform delivery obligations where such delay or failure results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including:

  • Natural disasters;

  • Floods;

  • Fires;

  • Epidemics or pandemics;

  • Government restrictions;

  • Power outages;

  • Telecommunications failures;

  • Labour disputes;

  • Industrial action;

  • Civil unrest;

  • Security incidents;

  • Acts of God; or

  • Any other force majeure event.

During such events, delivery obligations shall be suspended for the duration of the affected period.


14. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Braais & Bikinis shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect losses;

  • Consequential damages;

  • Loss of profits;

  • Loss of business opportunities;

  • Delays attributable to third-party courier providers;

  • Delivery interruptions outside its reasonable control.

Nothing in this Policy excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African law.


15. CONSUMER RIGHTS

This Shipping & Delivery Policy must be read together with:

  • The Terms and Conditions;

  • The Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy; and

  • Any applicable South African consumer protection legislation.

Nothing contained in this Policy shall be interpreted as limiting, excluding, or restricting any rights afforded to consumers under:

  • The Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008;

  • The Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002; or

  • Any other applicable law.


16. AMENDMENTS

Braais & Bikinis reserves the right to amend this Shipping & Delivery Policy at any time.

Any amendments shall become effective upon publication on the website unless otherwise stated.

Continued use of the website following publication of amendments constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
